Really saddened to read of the big loss of dear Bill.
He was such a real gentleman and a wonderful man who was well respected. He led Opunake High School well when I was secretary to the Board. Always treated everyone with great respect and his guidance was fantastic for our school community.

Dear Gail And Family
Sorry to hear of Bill's passing, he really touched the lives of people he met and I know he'll be a great loss to the family.
When I came to NZ on my travels in 2003, I came home a changed person which lead me on a journey through life which i'm continuing back home. A large part of that was visiting you on the farm and getting to know you both. I have many fond memories of my times on the farm. Your extended family in the UK is thinking of you in these sad times.
Dear Gail and family, so very sad to hear about Bill's far too early departure. Before we met, everyone told us 'You'll like Bill" and they were right. He really was an exceptionally lovely man. Distance meant our paths passed infrequently but we so enjoyed every visit and really appreciated Bill's kindness to our daughters and their partners (both in the pub in England and on the farm in New Zealand!) Thinking of you and sending you our love. Una and Mark xxUna and Mark Adderley ( 17 Sep 2021 )
Cousin Steve here in uk. We will join you for the service. Our thoughts are with you xxSteve Sharpe ( 17 Sep 2021 )
Dear Gail and family, we send you so much love and prayers at this difficult time. Bill and Gail you have been so kind to our family as we have travelled in New Zealand. You both went out of your way to make us feel welcome and we will never forget Bill leading us around the high spots of Taranaki distict including up the mountain! Beth and Tom and Jon all beniffited from your kindness and support when far from home. We will never forget our family in NZ and the kindness and good humour of our cousin Bill. May he rest in peace.

I was really upset to hear this sad news. Bill was just the loveliest person and in our Riverlea School days I always felt we were in safe hands with Bill leading the Board.
He always called me Mrs. Drylie (so respectful.) He was the glue that held the family together and I know you will miss him so much but remember the good times.
I send my warmest love. Maureen (Drylie)
So sad to hear that such a lovely, warm and friendly man has gone far to soon. and a huge hole left in all the hearts of the Gribble cousins. Bill, your happiness and joy for life will always stay with us forever.Lucinda Curtis ( 16 Sep 2021 )

You may not have been my Uncle by blood but you were definitely my Uncle by Love.
I remember when Rob brought me to the old farm for xmas and I instantly felt welcome and accepted. You always showed genuine interest in what was going on in our lives. You were the man in Kiedis's eyes, killing dragons and letting him drive you around on the farm bike, these are special memories he will have for life. You know yr nephew is a man of few words but know he loved and respected you immensely. You will be missed by all that knew and loved you. Give your beautiful boy a huge hug from us all. Love always Nella, Rob n Kiedis.
