DOBSON, Susan Elizabeth (Sue):
Died peacefully at Te Rangimarie Hospice 21 July 2021. Loved mother of her boys Bryan, Stephen and Robert and mother-in-law of Jane and Nicky. Daughter of the late Bryan and Monica. Adored “Nana Sue” of Nikau, Marti and Liam. A cherished friend and “Super Sue” to many. A caring and hardworking nurse, always ready for a coffee and a gossip. She will be sadly missed by friends and family.
In preference to flowers please consider a donation to Hospice Taranaki which can be left at the service.
Messages to the Dobson Family may be left here on Sue’s tribute page.
A service to celebrate Sue’s life will be held at Eagars Te Henui Chapel, 174 Lemon Street, New Plymouth on Monday 26 July 2021 at 2pm followed by a private cremation.
Sending much love and sympathy to Bryan, Stephen, Robert and families. Your Mum was always so incredibly proud of all of you. Hold on to all your wonderful memories.
I will always be very thankful for all the love, kindness & support Sue Sue gave me and my boys over the years.
Take care of each other. xx
My sincere condolences to the Dobson family. She had a big heart and was a wonderful lady. Very caring and always had time for everyone. A special person. RIPMarion Briggs ( 26 Jul 2021 )
A sincere thankyou from the Stewart family.
Jacqui together with Sue and two other friends Alison and Moira formed a play group for their young children. When Jacqui became ill with dementia Sue organised day care for her by the three friends and later after Jacqui went into hospital care they provided after school care for young Alan.
I am so sorry to hear of Sue's passing. Sue was an amazing friend to me and a extraordinary nurse. When I was a new RN many years ago, she took me under her wing and offered me so much support, wisdom and kindness. Her determination to provide the best possible care (often going way above and beyond) is something I admired greatly and strive to achieve in my own nursing practice every day. She was always giving to others, and her fun, positive nature was contagious. As a friend she was so supportive and was there for me during some really tough times. I have so many wonderful memories of her and will cherish them forever. My deepest sympathies to all of the Dobson family.Sheridan Hope ( 26 Jul 2021 )

I will never forget the banana smoothies, strapping and constant reminders to rehydrate during all of those high school basketball tournaments Super Sue. And then the weekend drinks and hospitality at your place when the late night sausage rolls came out to help offset the beverages.
