Love from just one of the many Norton Guys you have both been so generous to.
I love you so much. Thank you for all of the memories, love and joy. Christmas in Kaitaia, collecting tuatuas and making fritters, building us an epic go kart to race down the driveway, convincing me that fairies lived at the bottom of the garden, watching Saphire and I perform 'shows' for you and Nana, showing us the inside of a sheeps belly and squirting is with fresh cows milk, fallimg asleep with us on your chest, taking us for motorbike rides, Nelliphant the imaginery elephant, sneaking us chocolate and so many more memories. You were the best Poppa we could ever ask for. I'm so glad that you reached out to us and we had time to reconnect. My love for you never changed. You touched so many people and I will carry you with me forever. I love you Pop. Your granddaughter, Bee xx
Dear Pop, it was a privilege to spend the last 12 day's of your Physical Life by your side 24/7, feeding and bathing, nurturing and caring, sharing and healing, I was very happy to recieve your call in your hour of need, and as I did many times in your life, I came immediately to your side, no one can take that from me, your 'Last Wish' on the 1/3/21 'was to die peacefully', and I did my best to see it granted. Jan and her whanau and Nathan gave you a lovely public farewell which is what you asked of them, and Albie Martin and Eagars did a wonderul job facilitating that.
Aroha nui ki a koe Pop.
Your son, Darren
I will miss you pop. Your stories, your laugh will remain in my heart. I wish I could be there to see you off. Heres a poem I'd like to dedicate to you. Love Always Sara.
He's Gone by David Harkins-
You can shed tears that he is gone or you can smile because he lived.
You can close your eyes and pray he will come back. Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left. Your heart can be empty because you cant see him. Or you can be full of the loved thet you shared, you can turn your back on tomorrow and live for yesterday, Or you can be happy for tommorrow because of yesterday. you can remember him and only that he is gone. Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on. You can cry, close your mind be empty, and turn your back. Or you can do what he would have wanted, smile, open your eyes, love and move on.
