On behalf of the Kawaroa Park squash club our sincere condolences to Jan and family on thier loss.
Bob was a long time member of the squash club, joining in the early 70's and actively playing competition and social squash for more than 30 year's. He was well liked and respected in the club and formed some wonderful long lasting freindships .
He will be missed and those that knew him well will regale us with stories of his time at the squash club for many years to come.

Bob, you were a true gentleman and it was great to work along side you at Bob O'Dowda Menswear on Devon Street. you were a stawart of Devon Street, the Mayor some would say! And a handshake that would crush the strongest of hands. You were missed the day you retired from Devon Street leaving us to spend time with your family..

Dear Jan and family, so sad to read about the passing Bobbie. Great Tukapa man and a lovely man.Dawn and Robert would have been devastated had they been alive as you were part of their wedding with me. At least he is at peace now. Our thoughts are with Jan and Bob's family at this sad time. Bob was a great neighbour for many years and was very kind to our boys, even taking off his own tie to give to one of them to wear to a school ball. He will be fondly remembered.

My deepest sympathy Jan, Sarah and family. I remember Bob greeting me outside the shop one day when he realised that we shared the same birthday. He 'coerced' me into divulging my birth year and then decided that from then on, we would both be my age going forward, that way he could claim another 9 years! Such a lovely man, genuine and a special Dad and husband. JanJan Mason ( 01 Nov 2020 )

Deepest sympathy on the sad loss of Bob.my thoughts are with you all
We remember Bob as a great team mate and player. Remembered with a laugh for telling Alan to manage the shop while he nipped out, and rewarded him with some Christmas cake. Not bad for an old farmer by his old colleague in his men’s wear shop. Love his memoryAlan and Chris Smith ( 31 Oct 2020 )
