Leave a tribute

Dear John,

I was very sorry and deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Sue.

On behalf of Jacqui and our family and all our extended NZ Grazing team, past and present, we offer our deepest sympathy and condolences to you and all of your extended family in the loss of your wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and team mate. I especially would like to acknowledge the support that Sue gave to you and our company during the many years we worked together. We all knew Sue to be a happy, generous and enthusiastic person who could get things done and the two of you really understood farming and farmers. John, this difficult time for you was made even more difficult with the physical distancing we all must conform to. We found it just fantastic how you, Phil, Kirsty and Hamish were able to share with us a wonderful service in a peaceful setting with a virtual congregation of friends and family with lovely eulogies and tributes given. That Sue contributed so much to the wider community has been well recognised and acknowledged especially by the Rugby world where she was just so special and will be deeply missed. We know that Sue would be proud that your team will not only endure but thrive and achieve continued success on the foundation of love that she built and which will be her enduring memorial.

With love and kindest wishes Ian, Jacqui and family and the NZ Grazing Team

Suebelle, we are so saddened right now. Our memories go way back to those earliest games of netball that you and Titch played alongside us many decades ago. We had a lot of fun in those days and we recall them as if only yesterday. You have left such a wonderful and deep impression on us and so many people and you are sadly missed. To John and family, our deepest sympathies.

To Titch and Family,

Deepest sympathy to you all. Terribly saddened to hear of Sue's passing earlier in the week. Sue was an incredibly special lady and I am priveledged to have known her for as long as I've been in Taranaki. Her friendship has been constant and her dedication to Old Boys and Taranaki rugby extraordinary, I beleive unsurpassed anywhere in the country. Thank you Sue for all the help and support you have given to rugby on the radio, you did so much behind the scenes to help us promote the game to those that couldnt always be there to watch. It was always a pleasure to work with you even if it was impossible to say no to any of your requests! You will be hugely missed and I'll always be Your Royal Shortness! Todays service was a lovely tribute to a great woman, well done to all concerned in very difficult circumstances. Thinking of you all, RIP Sue.

John, Kirsty, Phil, Hamish and Family,

The service was beautiful and we all wish we could have been there. Sue was a legend and a friend to everyone who knew her. In the years I worked with her at the club I was in awe of how much one woman could get done! We were always trying to keep up with almost impossible task! For a bit there we walked the walkway at 6am each morning....she was there with me rain, hail or shine because you knew she would never let you down. We'd discuss so many things over that hour....she'd give me solid advice (that sometimes I'd my peril haha)...and she would talk about her family and what was happening at the time. No matter what the situation was all I could take away from those conversations was just how very much she loved you all.. you were her whole heart. I will always remember Sue as the organised, caring, friendly person who managed to keep about 1000 people in line at all times! haha.
Rest in peace Sue...and thoughts and love with you guys.

You were simply one of the best! You always had time to say hi Tommo and ask what I'm up to even when you looked forever hectic at the club. The 1st X1 days were great memories for me and my family and you were a big part of that. It didn't seem that long ago mum and I were at Vogeltown park watching Old Boys and we had a great chat together even though we kept getting interrupted by every man and his dog wanting a piece of you. Thanks for what you did with Dad also.
You will be forever missed but never forgotten. Your legacy will live on through the kids and grandkids.

Rest peacefully,

⁣To John, Phil, Kirsty, Hamish and the family,

Our thoughts with you all. When I arrived in the Naki in 92 and started my involvement up here with Rugby, Sue was like a second mum. Help was never an issue and she was always there to listen and pass an honest comment. She had integrity. Right up until our last converstaion, whilst watching cricket, on that sunny day on the top field at Boys' High - that never changed. She was a lady of integrity. I will miss her as I know will all that she touched.
