Fay my dear friend.....
you walked into my life in New Plymouth in 1953 after arriving from Norfolk Island as a teenager, ready to see the the World.
And what a wonderful friendship we have had over the years since -- whether living miles apart overseas and more lately within our own country. I will always treasure the wonderful memories that we shared along the way. Especially those in recent years when we came to visit as often as we could.
Rest in peace my dear friend,
with much love,
Irene (and Bruce - the "lovely husband" as you always called him).
A beautiful farewell today for a wonderful friend who I will miss tremendously. When the pool at Molly Ryan reopens I will take a bottle of wine with me to share while we remember Fay. There will be a huge gap in my life now but I do have some great memories.
My thoughts are with you all.

Auntie Fay I don't know how to express my love for such a special lady. I have many wonderful memories of you and Uncle Neil, as a small child at the beach at Ngamutu and at Munna and Poppops. I'm so glad we got to have a catchup not long ago. The last of a generation, love you so
