Our time to die is as important as our time for birth and all part of the cycle of life. Joy at birth and sadness at death and I have sadness for Shirley and Ken both very important people in my life. As a child living in outback Taranaki at Ratapiko we saw few people but Shirley's father Horace came daily during the milking season to bring his cream cans down the lumpy clay track from his home to our place for the cream lorry to take away to the factory. He would call in for a morning cuppa and a chat and was like my second father and I loved him and his family. Shirley had dolls and a yes boy but I loved playing with them and being spoilt by Shirley her sister and mother and of course by Horace. My physical health now past best and I was unable to attend Ken and Shirley's funerals. My wife Dorothy came to know Horace and Shirley and together we extend our sincere love and empathy to the Butler family. My now deceased mother Margaret and Shirley were wonderful friends and she would be aching to let you all know what a wonderful, charitable and loving person Shirley was. Her legacy will continue within the family. Love to you all. Robert xxxxx
