Brooke Harry Nelson Wolfe

Wolfe Brooke Harry Nelson

Sadly, on Tuesday, 5 November in Lucie’s arms Brooke took his last breath.  He is the most awesome Dad of Millie and Oscar.  Dearly loved youngest son of Raewyn and Neil.  Much loved brother and brother-in-law of Sally and Troy, Katie and Tim, Todd and Suzy, uncle of Ben, Matt, Sam, Edie, Jake, Nikau, Samara, Josh, and loyal master of Max.

Loved son-in-law of Pam and Andrew, brother-in-law of Ella and Paul, Fern and Brett, and uncle of Sam and Hazel.

In preference to flowers donations to Taranaki Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the service.

Messages for the Wolfe family may be left on Brooke’s tribute page at .

We as a family invite you all to celebrate Brooke’s life at Ryder Hall (NPBHS), Coronation Ave, New Plymouth on Sunday 10 November 2019 at 2.00pm, followed by a wake at Brooke’s beloved Fitzroy Beach. A private cremation will be held afterwards.

"Devestated to wake up to the news this morning that Chook passed away after a brave fight. Words can't express the sadness I feel for Lucie, Millie and Oscar, not to mention Min, Wolfie, Katie, Sal and Todd! You were the best of us growing up! You were the social glue that connected the School, the town and later the country (when you went to uni). At school you connected rugby with cricket with snow sports with athletics and soccer, you tried hard to connect acadamia as well. You were a master "netwroker" before networking was even a thing. The dick of the day annual award, the after ball, 1st XV parties, the round the mountain pub crawl- you were the architect of all those experiences that shaped our lives. I love you and I know my role is to keep telling Millie and Oscar, Brooke stories (age and stage appropriate of course). You are a fighter and a champion and I will always remember you. Keep up the good fight."

Dear Wolfe whanau,
I am sad and sorry to hear of Brooke's passing. We know the devastation a brain cancer diagnosis causes. We have followed Brooke's journey through family and Facebook. He obviously lived life to the fullest. His energy and courage were an inspiration to us. I would have liked to attend Brooke's funeral today but I am with Rory as he endures treatment for this hideous disease a second time. My thoughts and love are with you all. xox Leigh Honnor

Brooke was a sweetie and full of cheek. We would always shoot the breeze at Burger Fuel and I always left smiling. Simple acts have big impacts.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Brooke, have many fond memories of tearing up the skate parks on rollerblades back in the day, and he always gave a friendly hello when we saw him in town years later. May you RIP Brooke

Jacqueline Roper ( 09 Nov 2019 )

To the Wolfe family, my deepest sympathy as I think of you at this time. Brooke was a truly great guy and an amazing person in so many lives.

In remembering Brooke over these last few days, my thoughts have often returned to those early Central School years; playing cricket, rugby, soccer, walking to and from school, skateboarding the mean streets of New Plymouth, birthday parties and so on. I remember a big, often varying, crew, the likes of Scott Craven, Glen Stewart, Jonathan Fitzgibbons, Peter Little, Paul Drake, Jeremy Coley, Derek Richards, among many others.

But, always at the centre of the action, I remember Brooke.

So sad. What a loss Brooke is to the world. He offered so much and had so much more to give. Being the youngest, he was able to use the many positive strengths that Sally, Todd, Katie, Raewyn and Neil all have in abundance and combine them to make one special person. Memories of Brooke and his family will be with me forever.

I had the greatest pleasure working with Brooke many years ago, such a gorgeous young man who enjoyed teasing my young boys. He popped into the office about 12 months ago sharing his news and wanting to know mine. He told me how he was concentrating on his family and that summed up Brooke for me, his love for family. May you rest in peace Brooke, the world is sadder without you. Love Mary, Thomas and Daniel xxx
