Casey Martin

Managing Director

As a third generation Funeral Director, Casey brings a wealth of experience to Eagars Funeral Services. Casey joined the business in 1992, helping her father, John, after she returned from training race horses in Japan. This temporary assistance grew into a full time role and Casey has been actively involved in the business ever since. Following John’s sudden death in 2004, Casey assumed the role of Managing Director and has successfully managed the business along with a busy family life.

 

Married to Richard and mother to Isaac and Emerson, Casey places great value on family and applies that to Funeral Directing by ensuring families are supported, informed and cared for at a difficult time. Casey takes pride in the fact that Eagars Funeral Services works to provide individual, tailored services and has a reputation for being Taranaki’s caring professionals.

 

In 2015, husband Richard joined the business full time and has taken over much of the day-to-day operations, allowing Casey to focus more time on the community.  If you would like Casey to speak to your group or organisation please contact our office.

Richard Martin

Funeral Director & Embalmer

From broadcasting to sales to teaching to financial services, Richard has had a broad and varied career which provides a wealth of experience in business and people management.

 

Married to Casey since 2003 and a director of the company since 2007, Richard has been involved with Eagars Funeral Services for well over a decade.  As the business has continued to grow it has presented the opportunity to be involved in an active capacity.  Richard is loving the people contact and being in the privileged position of working closely with families as they create a special farewell for their loved one.

 

Outside of work Richard enjoys spending time with his children and supporting their many endeavours – from cricket to dancing and rugby to gymnastics.  He also makes great beer with his micro-brewery so be sure to ask for a sample when you see him!

Graham Mann

Funeral Director & Embalmer

Graham is following a life long dream to be a Funeral Director and brings with him a positive and sensitive approach. He joined the Eagar’s team in 2011, after working as a Funeral Director’s Assistant in Auckland. Graham saw the prospect of joining Eagar’s Funeral Services as a great opportunity to further his career in the industry and become a part of a community.

 

Graham previously worked for 9 years in hospitality and owned his own restaurant. He has found that the ability to listen and his desire to please have served him well in his new career. He enjoys the unique and close-knit team environment at Eagar’s Funeral Services.

 

Graham and his wife Ikue have been overwhelmed by the warmth of the Taranaki community. They are enjoying all that Taranaki has to offer and agree it is a great place to start a family. In his spare time Graham enjoys exploring the parks, gardens and beaches Taranaki has to offer.

William Eagar-Savage

Funeral Director & Embalmer

William started in funeral service just three months before the death of his father John in 2004.  That he chose to continue in the profession is testament to his commitment to taking care of families when they need it most.  William is a qualified funeral director having completed his diploma in 2009.  His career took him to Hamilton for three years in 2013 where he further grew his skills before returning to Taranaki in 2016.

 

William is married to Graeme and together they have three fur-babies; Sophie, George and Harry.  Outside of work they enjoy cycling, walking the dogs, entertaining and travel.

 

William brings the experience of almost 15 years in the funeral industry and over 10 in hospitality to offer families confident and competent service, without losing sight of the lighter moments that still occur when families get together.

Jan Knowles

Office Manager

As the first line of contact, Jan’s role within the company is a supportive one not only to her colleagues, but to the wider community. Jan’s creative abilities add a new dimension to the standard of service we can provide for our families. Her specialities are on the creative side with photo manipulation and personalised slideshows that are all produced onsite.

 

She is a very family oriented person and this is what attracted her to joining our team. Understanding our diversity and families individual needs shows her appreciation to the importance of family values.

 

Married to Craig, Jan had been a stay at home Mum as well as assisting with their business for the past 20 years. They have two children – both living in Auckland. Over the years Jan has been involved with Plunket, kindergarten, and school committees helping the community.
