Funeral Celebrants are skilled in working with people. With a calm reassuring manner a good celebrant understands the need to balance the rituals and obligations of a funeral service with wishes and needs of the family. Celebrants we recommend here at Eagars are compassionate, caring and have a full understanding of the requirements of working with us as Funeral Directors. The Celebrants we work alongside are committed to helping you create a ceremony that will be a truly fitting farewell to your loved one.

Please see the list below to learn more about the funeral Celebrants we recommend and work with often.

“I consider it a privilege and an even greater responsibility to be involved with families and friends in one of life’s most poignant and significant occasions. A funeral is as much about life as it is about death and the gathering of memories is a therapeutic experience for all concerned.

I ensure that the tribute to the deceased is sincere, well researched and well prepared. In my experience listeners respond appreciatively to the depiction of a person which is real and affirming to their humanity.

I do my best to make a sad occasion into a beautiful memory, my touchstone being the ring of sincerity and truth.”

Richard is Eagar’s in-house celebrant.  Having professionally trained as a broadcaster, he delivers a polished, non-secular service that is warm and intimate.  Richard’s style is more ‘MC’ than ‘Preacher’ and he enjoys creating a service that reflects the life being celebrated and helping family to deliver a service their loved one would be proud of.
