I was sad to hear Mike passing away - Mike was a real people's person who could make friends wherever he went, I will miss his friendship; It was always great catching up as he had a vision for seeing good deals, whether it was buying a car, house or property and he could see potential and even better a good story to go with it. Passing though Kennedy lodge was a place where you could get a good evening with Joy / Mike, have a cold beer and plenty of laughs and stories. He was always full of life and involved right up until the end, and may he be having a beer and finding a good deal to go with it.
All our wishes and thoughts go to the family at this time Gerard and Dennice Keegan

So sorry to hear of Mikes passing. I remember well our younger days with our motorbikes, V8s and the strong bond and great friendship that our group had at that time. Mike was a good bugger and you could always rely on him when the odds were against us. RIP
mate.

Joy and Girls,
I am deeply sorry about your (and my) loss of Mike.
I have known mike since 1965, same class at Spotswood College.
We worked together, off shore, in the late 70's and 80's.
We Philosophized and mentored each other in the rights and wrongs of every thing in general.
Humorous and visionary - that is how I remember my friend.
I remember helping to retrieve pongas from the Uruti for your property on Mangorei Road.
We had business dealings with one another.
I want you to know that because of his personality he was a good friend, I don't think people realised how far back our friendship went.He will always be remembered by me.

Thank you Joy - for taking care of him.
